Who are we?
MaidaKelleyWatercolor is an artist owned and run small business based in Ketchikan, Alaska with a small store near the cruise ship docks featuring her artwork. If you visit Ketchikan, stop in and say hi! Just ask at the Visitor’s Center on the dock for directions.
Alaskan artist Maida Kelley first moved to Ketchikan when she was two. She left for a time: married, had a family and career. Her first husband passed away, her kids grew up, and Maida came back to Ketchikan. She and her current husband met first when they were six, then reconnected and fell in love at their 30th high school reunion. "We're the greatest sent from heaven, we're the class of 67"
Maida enjoys sharing her love of Ketchikan and it surrounding mountains, fjords, waters, and lifestyle through her stunning, original watercolor art. Of course, she doesn’t limit herself to just Alaskan themes, though they are her best sellers.
Maida and her husband have a lovely, remote cabin about 40 minutes by boat from Ketchikan. When Maida and her husband are at the cabin, she is not able to fill orders, ship, or answer requests for information. This Alaska lifestyle is responsible for much of her painting inspiration so please be understanding on the rare occasion there is a slight delay in response or shipment.
When you buy from Maida Kelly Watercolor, you buy directly from Maida. When we say we and us, most of the time we mean Maida, but once in a while she has help so we use the plural.

- Each high-quality print is printed on 100% rag watercolor paper just like the original watercolor.
- 6 different coordinating mat colors are provided for you to select from.
- Mats are PH neutral white core mat board to keep your print crisp and clear for years to come.
- Each print comes with a small 'bio' biography affixed to the back.
- Most prints come with a small story about her inspiration for the image on the back.
- Each print/mat is encased in a crystal, clear bag to keep print picture-perfect until it reaches you.
- Available sizes are given in outer mat dimensions. Actual print size may vary slightly depending on image.
- 8x10 outside mat, image size is approximately 5x7
- 11x14 outside mat, image size is approximately 7x10
- 16x20 outside mat size, image size is approximately 10x14
Mat and Print colors may vary slightly from what you see on your screen due to differences in screen calibration.
About Maida’s original watercolors
If you love Maida’s work but prefer an original; many of her subjects can be recreated as an original painting, just for you, in the size that would suit your needs. Each original will vary slightly from the print featured on this store. Contact Maida for more information and pricing.
About Print to order
Maida makes use of the latest digital printing techniques to bring you a wide range of products featuring her artwork. Print-to-order pieces (other than prints which are usually shipped within three days) may require up to three weeks production time prior to shipping.
What is a Remarque
First here is how you pronounce it RE-MARK' emphasis on the mark.
A remarque is a small drawing or painting that Maida paints on your mat. It is an original painting in watercolor. If you wish I can put a remarque on a dark mat but it has to be done in acrylic paint because watercolor does not show up well.

About Return Policy
We accept requests for returns, exchanges, or replacement within 30 days of delivery receipt. Please contact us, provide your original order number and order date. Let us know if you want an exchange, replacement, or return. We will either send you a new item or, in the case of a return, refund what you paid for it. Simple as that.
If you received the item as a gift, any refund would go to the original purchaser.

About Shipping Times
While we don’t expect delays, please allow extra shipping time during pandemic!
Occasionally Maida the artist has taken Maida the shipper off to paint, to get inspired, or just to live her Alaska life, which may cause a slight delay in shipping. But don't worry, Maida the businesswoman keeps things pretty much on track by having someone help her when she can't be available.
Prints usually ship out via US Postal within 3 days of order. US orders will usually arrive within 5-7 days after shipping. International orders may take longer.
Originals and special order items usually ship out within 3 days of completion. They ship via US Postal Service. Maida will be able to give you an idea of expected ship date when she confirms your special order.
Other print-to-order items may take up to three weeks for production and may ship from overseas. Please allow 2-5 weeks for regular shipping times. Expedited shipping may be available on certain items and will be noted on the item page.
About Order Status Tracking
Once shipped, most products will generate a tracking number which will be emailed to you so you can track your products shipping progress. Rest assured we also track your order's progress all the way to delivery.
